Today the spotlight shines on Tara Fox from PA!

Name: Tara Fox

Where are you from?  Morgantown, Pa

First memory of Disney?  My very first memory of Disney World is from 1977 when I visited with my family for our summer vacation.  We stayed at the Polynesian Resort which left me a little confused because I thought we were staying in the castle with Mickey Mouse (wouldn’t that be cool!).  We enjoyed the pool and ate at the hotel that evening, without advanced dining reservations.  The next morning we took the monorail to the Magic Kingdom.  This is where it all came to life.  My first vision was of the biggest bundle of balloons I had ever seen.  I could smell popcorn, and hear music that made me want to dance.  Then…I saw the castle at the end of Main Street.  I was forever in love!

What makes Disney MAGICAL in your eyes?  Disney’s attention to detail, including the details you may never notice until you have visited several times.  Disney thinks of everything!  There isn’t anything, or anyone, that is not important.  Whether you see the magic in the enormous fireworks displays, or in the colors and designs chosen for the carpeting in a restaurant, or in the cast member who greets you at the Magical Express depot at the airport, it is all planned out so that you are immersed in magic every second of your stay.

Favorite Disney destination and why?  Walt Disney World.  There is so much to do for guests of all ages, interests, and abilities.  You could spend your entire vacation doing activities that don’t include stepping foot into a park such as parasailing, fine dining, horseback riding, archery, fishing, shopping, and more!  But of course, you will be going to parks, and they range in interest level as well.  There’s the quintessential magic and tradition of the Magic Kingdom, the ability to travel around the world without changing time zones in Epcot, the excitement of the silver screen in Hollywood Studios, and the adventure and wonder of an African Safari and Asian exploration at Animal Kingdom.  The entertainment in all of the parks also elevates the experience to a whole new level.  You get to see Broadway caliber shows all included in the price of admission.

Favorite Disney Character and why?  Mickey Mouse.  Without him none of this would be possible.

Favorite Disney Attraction and why?  I have two.  It’s a Small World for the nostalgia of visiting as a child and spending many summer vacations visiting Disney World with my family.  Soarin’ is my modern day choice.  I can’t get enough of it and I still cry every time I experience it because it is so unbelievable.

Favorite Disney Resort and why?  Choosing a favorite resort is hard because many of them offer something special for my family depending on the circumstance of our travel, but I will narrow it down to two.  The Polynesian, again for nostalgia.  It is where my family always stayed on our vacations, and it feels like my childhood home.  My other choice would be Animal Kingdom Lodge.  It is truly an experience all its own.  The resort is filled with so much authenticity in the design and décor, and it brings us to a place we could not otherwise experience.  Throw the animals that are right outside your resort room window into the mix and it is just unreal.

Favorite Disney Restaurant and why?  Cinderella’s Royal Table.  Dining in the castle with princesses is just so Disney.

Favorite Disney Quick Service Restaurant and why?  Flame Tree Barbecue in Animal Kingdom.  The food is unbelievable.  I am not even a huge BBQ person, but I can’t get enough of the chicken.

3 Disney characters you’d like to have dinner with and why?  Alice in Wonderland because she is so precocious that there would never be a lull in conversation, Maleficent because it’s always fun to have a bad-girl around, and Prince Charming so I could feel like Cinderella!

Favorite Disney snack and why?  The chocolate dipped Mickey rice crispy treat

Favorite Disney Movie and why?  Bambi.  It was the first movie I ever saw in the theatre.

3 Favorite Disney Songs and why?  It’s a Small World because it brings me back to my childhood.  The Mickey Mouse March because as soon as you sing M-I-C you can always get others to join right in with K-E-Y.  And lastly, the music from Disney’s Main Street Electrical Parade.  As soon as you hear it, you know what it is, and there is no other song that is quite like it.

Disney character you’re most similar to and why?  Alice in Wonderland because I give myself very good advice but I very seldom follow it.

If you could be one Disney mascot for a day who would it be and why?  Minnie Mouse, it’s all about the shoes!

If you could work at one of the Disney theme parks, what job would you want and why?  I would love to be Cinderella during the Electrical Parade so that I could sit in that gorgeous carriage that is all lit up and wave to everyone who loves Disney.

Best part about being a MickeyTravels Disney Travel Agent?  I get to think about Disney every day and share this special magic with so many people.  Having the opportunity to introduce families to Disney for the first time and replace all of the nervous confusion with magic and pixie dust is just a dream come true.

Why should I book my vacation with you?  Booking your Disney vacation with me means that you don’t have to worry about missing out on any of the things you want your family to experience.  Whether it is your first visit or your 50th, I will help you navigate through all of the opportunities for fun.  If you are a Disney veteran, I will introduce you to new experiences and if it is your first time you will walk away from your vacation having done things your friends have told you about as well as some new things to share with everyone at home.  I also customize your Disney experience with your desires in mind, but take the care and consideration when planning as if it were my own vacation.  I love to answer questions so that you are confident about your Disney vacation, but leave enough to the imagination for you to have unexpected magic happen that you could have never anticipated.  Making magical memories is what it’s all about.
