Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique…for Boys?
The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at Disney is a wonderfully magical experience for young girls! But did you also know boys can enjoy the experience, too? Young boys can become young knights by signing up for the “Knight Package” offered to boys ages 3-12, though probably best suited for the younger crowd.
Young boys can choose a color to add to their newly spiked hair and even get a Mickey head painted on the back of their heads if they’d like. They are given a sword and a shield that completes the transformation. No costumes are available for purchase and the experience is completed in the Pink-and-Girly location within the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, but the boys we saw didn’t seem to mind and this made a perfect option for those young cuties who had sisters getting the full treatment! At only $15, it was quite a bargain!
Of course, if you are interested in the packages for girls, you’ll find three great options! The coach package includes hairstyling and make up for $49.95. The crown package includes hair, makeup, and nails for $54.95. And the Castle package includes the crown package plus a costume and accessories, plus a photo package for $189.95.
If you choose a package that doesn’t include the costume and accessories, feel free to bring your own along! The fairy godmothers will set each young princess up in her own dressing room to change, even if the costume wasn’t purchased at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. The girls will then get the pampering treatment! They can choose between several different hairstyles like “Pop Princess,” “Disney Diva,” and “Fairytale Princess.” The fairy godmothers make it a truly special and magical experience for the girls by shielding them from seeing themselves until the transformation is complete. At the end of the experience, you can expect squeals of delight when the girls turn to see themselves as princesses for the first time! You will definitely want your video camera out for this part!
Whether for boys or girls, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique fills up fast so be sure to make your reservations as early as possible. You can make them up to 180 days before your visit. You will have to give a credit card number to hold your reservation, but it will not be charged unless you don’t show up for your appointment. There are two locations of the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique—in the castle at the Magic Kingdom and at Downtown Disney. Park admission is required at the Magic Kingdom location.
