La Nouba at Downtown Disney

April 25, 2012

If you have a free evening while at Disney or if you want to treat yourself to an extremely special experience, it’s time to buy tickets to La Nouba at Downtown Disney!  La Nouba is an amazing show by Cirque du Soleil.  “Cirque” means circus and La Nouba is a circus of sorts, but not like any circus you’ve ever been to!  The performers will leave you stunned!  Everything you see seems impossible, and yet the performers make it look effortless.

There is no way to describe La Nouba other than to say you’ll spend most of it wondering how the performers can accomplish such acrobatic, athletic, graceful, and amazing feats.  The performers come from around the world to work with Cirque du Soleil and they are the highlight of the show, but the live music is also a wonderful accompaniment to the performance.

If you are curious on how movies are made then Hollywood Studios is the place to visit.  Disney’s Hollywood Studios offer plenty of attraction to suit everyone in your family.  There are high speed race, stunt shows, live shows, and live performances.  Hollywood Studios is centered on stardom and the glitz and glamour of Hollywood glory days during the 30’s and 40’s.

As you walk through the streets of Disney’s Hollywood Studios you will notice the neon signs, chrome decors and art deco that depict the Hollywood during the 1930s and 1940s.  There are plenty of shops to suit your mood.  The shops carry clothing with logos, children’s costumes, and TV and movie memorabilia from your favorite TV shows and movies.  My favorite purchase from Hollywood Studios was a his and hers Mickey Mouse watch.

As for dining there is something for every budget meals run from $15 to $60 per person (excluding alcohol , tax, and tip).  Of course if you are in a hurry and want something quick and don’t want to sacrifice quality visit Backlot Express or ABC Commissary.  Satisfy your sweet tooth with soft serve ice cream or novelty ice-cream at Dinosaur Gertie’s Ice Cream.  For chocolate-cookie ice cream sandwich, sundae, or hand dipped cone stop by Hollywood Scoops and you will not be disappointed.
