Hi there, I’m Sharon Kernig!

I’m a proud Disney mom, wife, and Disney Travel Planner with MickeyTravels, an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner and Diamond Level Agency. I live in the charming small town of Garrettsville, Ohio—fun fact: it’s the hometown of the inventor of Life Savers candy!

I graduated from Kent State University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and have a strong background in customer service, sales, and the eyecare industry. I’ve always loved helping people and creating meaningful experiences—skills I now bring to planning personalized, stress-free Disney vacations.

Before joining MickeyTravels, I spent years planning Disney trips for my family and friends—choosing resorts, dining, and park strategies to make their vacations extra magical. That joy, combined with my professional experience and lifelong love for Disney, inspired me to turn my passion into a career.

My family and I share a deep love for Disney, whether it’s watching our favorite movies together, strolling down Main Street, U.S.A., or discovering something new on every visit. Even our tortie cat joins in (she supervises from home while we’re off making memories!).

Disney magic runs in our family! My oldest daughter graduated from Ohio University and participated in the Disney College Program, living her dream of working where the magic happens. Her younger sister, a student at the University of Pittsburgh, hopes to follow in her footsteps!
