Hello, Disney lovers! My name is Rhonda Akers!

I’m your friendly, enthusiastic, Disney-loving teacher who has learned to take my skill set of planning and one-on-one personalized detail to the next level by becoming a MickeyTravels Disney vacation planner!

My love for Disney began at an early age! I was so blessed to have parents who loved to travel and understood that memories are a treasure that last beyond a lifetime. Some of my earliest memories are of visiting Mickey and Minnie’s Country Houses in Walt Disney World´s former Toontown Fair. I remember the magic I felt as if it were yesterday! As I began to get older and change, one thing remained constant regardless of the years that passed…my love for Disney!

As an adult, I value the memories that I made all those years ago with my own parents.

Now that I’m a mother of three, I work tirelessly to ensure that I give my own children the treasured memories of my childhood by frequenting Disney as much as possible. Although I live in Virginia and work as a full time educator, I visit Disney Parks and Resorts as much as I can. No matter how many times I visit Walt Disney World, I still feel the same magic I did as a child. I still run down Main Street U.S.A. with pure joy in my heart. I still get teary eyed as I see the nighttime fireworks spectacular in the reflection of my children´s twinkling eyes. I still believe in Disney magic!
