Hi, I’m Katie Higgins! I’m a kind, thoughtful, and driven Disney enthusiast who is passionate about helping families create magical memories that will last a lifetime.

I come from a large family and grew up in New Jersey before attending college at High Point University in North Carolina. After graduation, my husband and I made North Carolina our home before spending seven years in Texas. We eventually returned to North Carolina to be closer to family, where we’re now raising our daughter, who is truly the joy of our lives, alongside our two beloved dogs.

My Disney story began when I was just 9 years old, but my love for Disney truly reignited during college when I participated in the Disney College Program at Walt Disney World. Working for Disney brought me so much joy as I helped create magical experiences for guests every day. During my time there, I gained extensive knowledge of the parks, resorts, and planning tips that continue to help families make the most of their vacations.

Since then, Disney has been the backdrop for many of life’s most cherished milestones. I’ve celebrated birthdays, bachelorette parties, a babymoon, anniversaries, and countless family vacations at Disney destinations. Those experiences have given me a unique perspective on how Disney can create unforgettable moments for every stage of life.

My favorite park is Animal Kingdom, thanks to my lifelong love of animals. When I am at WDW you’ll often find me riding Kilimanjaro Safaris to see the incredible wildlife or hopping over to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, another one of my all time favorite attractions. My favorite Disney character is Winnie the Pooh, a character whose kindness and simple wisdom have always resonated with me.

What makes me different as a travel advisor is that my Disney knowledge comes not only from years of personal travel but also from my experience as a Disney Cast Member through the Disney College Program. Working behind the scenes taught me how Disney creates magical guest experiences and gave me a deeper understanding of the details that can make a vacation truly special. Because of that experience, I take the time to get to know each family, their interests, priorities, and travel style so I can help create a vacation that feels uniquely theirs and not a one-size-fits-all itinerary.

Becoming a Disney Travel Agent has allowed me to combine two things I love most: Disney and making people happy. Helping others plan stress free, magical vacations is truly a dream come true.
