Hey there! My name is Andrea Hughes!

I live in Maryland with my silly and sweet dog, Milo, who is always just as mesmerized by the Disney movies we watch as I am. My Disney roots run deep, and I’ve been a fan ever since my first trip to Disney World when I was five years old. It was my grandma’s dream to take her family to Disney World, and going to meet Winnie the Pooh and Friends at Crystal Palace was a core early memory for me! I am so fortunate to be in a family that values Disney vacations, and “growing up Disney” created experiences and memories that I’ll never forget. With a background in teaching, I had the pleasure of working with children of all ages and discovering what sparks joy for them and hearing about their own experiences with Disney.

I love when Disney shows up in areas of my life where I wouldn’t expect it. When I took up running as an adult, I knew that I absolutely HAD to sign-up for a runDisney race. I completed my first half marathon in 2020, just months before the parks closed during the pandemic, and I was hooked. Running through the parks and meeting rare characters added so much fun to the miles and my experience served as a huge motivator for my next runDisney half marathon, which I ran in 2023.

As amazing as going on Disney vacations is, there’s something so magical about the trip planning process. Spending months thinking about every little detail and coming up with a detailed itinerary brings its own unique joy! I believe that the perfect trip is the one that works best for you and your traveling party. There’s so much to love about a Disney vacation and I know that a cookie cutter itinerary doesn’t work for people with diverse interests, ages, abilities, and travel budgets.
