Choosing Your Disney World Hotel
There are plenty of things to consider when deciding where to stay for your hotel during your Disney World vacation. Fortunately Disney recognizes that their guests have different needs. Disney offers three different lodging levels, value, moderate and deluxe. Each level and each Disney World hotel has their own theme.
Things to consider before booking your Disney World hotel are: number of people in your party and ages, are you considering meal plans, size of the room, suites, what theme parks are you planning on visiting, and of course the prices. Talk to your Authorized Disney Vacation Planner and tell him/her what you are looking for in a room.
Some families like to be near the pool and choose Pop Century because it’s lay out is similar to motels where the pool/s are surrounded by the hotel buildings. Some guest prefers to stay in the moderate resorts. These resorts are located near different theme parks, for example The French Quarter which is inspired by the romance and pageantry of the historic French Quarter in New Orleans is located close to Epcot. The ultra-modern Disney’s Contemporary is located closer to Magic Kingdom where you can watch the nightly fireworks from your hotel room.
Parents with older children may want to have a Villa or a suite to have some privacy. Maybe adjacent rooms for you and your teens would be preferable to both you and your teens. If you are considering of taking advantage of meal plan then Swan and Dolphin is not a place for you to mull over because they are operated by Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide under the Westin brand and not by Disney. Therefore Swan and Dolphin do not participate in the meal plans although they offer character dinning.
For most, financial consideration is a big aspect of decision making. Whichever Disney World hotel you choose to stay rest assured that you will have fun.
