Ohana at Disney
Aloha, E Komo Mai! Welcome to ‘Ohana, my favorite table service restaurant at Walt Disney World. A family style restaurant which offers an “all you can eat” dining option, ‘Ohana is the perfect location for a family gathering with delicious food and an amusing atmosphere.
‘Ohana is located on the second floor of the gorgeous Polynesian Resort at Walt Disney World. It is a very convenient monorail ride away from the Magic Kingdom.
For breakfast you are joined by Mickey, Pluto, Lilo and Stitch. Before you are seated for your meal, you can take a family picture with your leis that are provided upon checking in. On the way to your table, the waiter will pick up a basket of homemade pastries for you. The pineapple bread is amazing. Once you are seated, you will be served scrambled eggs, friend potatoes, sausage, bacon, fruit, juice and the infamous Mickey waffles. Your children will have an opportunity to hula dance around the room in a kanga line to “Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride,” the theme song from Lilo and Stitch. All the characters come by to visit at ‘Ohana, so make sure to have your camera ready.
Dinner at ‘Ohana is a must eat! From the pineapple coconut bread to start your meal to the bread pudding with ice cream, bananas, and caramel sauce, every bite is delectable!
Appetizers at ‘Ohana include the pineapple coconut bread, salad with a refreshing mango-poppy seed dressing, honey coriander chicken wings, pork fried dumplings and golden pineapple. Your meat is cooked on a huge fire pit in the middle of the dining room and brought to your table on large skewers. The options are chicken, pork, sirloin steak and peel-n-eat shrimp with both egg noodles in peanut sauce with pineapple and stir friend vegetables on the side. You are also provided with dipping sauces for your meat – peanut sauce, chimichurri sauce and pineapple sweet and sour sauce. As hard as it may be, make sure to save some room for dessert because the bread pudding is to die for!
Throughout dinner there is various entertainment, including dancing, singing, and activities for children like the coconut race. It is a family, fun atmosphere for all to enjoy.
If you have a late dining reservation, you can watch the Wishes Fireworks show from ‘Ohana. The music is even piped into the restaurant for you to enjoy with the show.
A dinner reservation at ‘Ohana is a hot commodity… Make sure you make an advanced dining reservation early. I recommend making your reservation 180 days prior to your trip.
