Kristy Bettenhausen – Texas Disney Travel Agent

Hi! I’m Kristy Bettenhausen, and I live in Cypress, Texas, just outside Houston. Originally, I’m a northern girl from Central Illinois. After a decade in Texas, I can honestly say — I still don’t miss the snow!

My love for all things Disney started before I turned five. I vividly remember walking down Main Street USA, completely mesmerized by Cinderella’s Castle — that same magic fills me every time I see it. On that first trip, Walt Disney World was just the Magic Kingdom, two resorts, and a campground. As I grew up, so did Disney!

When I became a mom, I wanted my kids to experience that same Disney magic — and they absolutely do! On my dad’s suggestion, my two daughters even chose their college with the goal of becoming Cast Members at Walt Disney World. Now, as a mom of four (including one with special needs) and a growing number of grandbabies, I’ve been fortunate to visit Disney destinations nearly 70 times — but who’s counting?

While family trips are always incredible, my husband and I also enjoy occasional adults-only getaways. Most recently, we had a blast drinking and snacking our way around EPCOT with several other couples. The fun, the food, and the friendships gave us a whole new perspective on the parks. Disney cruises are another favorite, whether for family trips or adult-only adventures. Did you know Disney isn’t just for kids?
