Cara Price – NC Disney Travel Planner

Hi! My name is Cara Price!

I grew up in New Jersey near the Jersey shore enjoying summers at the beach with my family.  I spent a lot of time there, with the sand in my toes, and I couldn’t wait until the day that I was old enough to become a beach lifeguard.  We loved the ocean and were always told that we had the Sea in our blood.  If that is the case, then I also have Disney in my DNA!  

Disney has been a part of my life since I was a very young child. I have vivid memories of my first trip to the Magic Kingdom and how magical it was.  I can recall being on the balcony at the Contemporary watching a huge golf ball being built and crying.  I told my family they were ruining Disney World.  Fast forward to 2023 and Epcot may take the cake as my favorite park with the new Guardians of the Galaxy Ride!  Times have certainly changed, but one thing remains the same, Disney is still magical! 

My Grandparents lived in Florida, so I was fortunate to be able to go to Disney World often as a child.  While in college I completed the Disney College Program and received my “Mouseters.”  I learned all the ins-and-outs of Disney furthering my knowledge, respect, and love for all things Disney.  I have gone on to live in several states including Washington DC, Florida, and California.  Wherever I was, I was always busy planning the next adventurous trip such as hiking Machu Picchu in Peru, backpacking through Europe, family ski trips, and Disney vacations with friends and family.  

I live in Charlotte, North Carolina where I have been for the past 16 years with my loving husband and 2 wonderful children.  One gift that my husband and I pledged to our children was to get them to all 50 states with a focus on visiting and hiking as many National Parks as possible before they graduated from high school.  With this pledge came a great deal of organizing and planning to execute many different trips, states, and experiences. My oldest is in 9th grade, and I can proudly say we are only 4 states away! With all the adventures, sometimes things don’t go as planned due to weather or different circumstances.  We typically go with the flow, but every now and then, someone may have a “glitch”, just like my favorite Disney character Stitch. When someone is having a “moment” in our family we call it “glitching”. We make life fun with one of our favorite family mottoes being  “Ohana means family, family means nobody gets left behind.”-Lilo & Stitch

Travel planning is a true passion, and I am incredibly grateful to work as a Disney Vacation Planner with Mickey Travels to help create magical adventures and vacations for you.  My other passion, which I am honored and blessed to do, is as a Speech-Language Pathologist, specializing in child language and children who present with Autism.  The most important thing to know about me is that no matter where or what I am doing in life, I am always grateful, I like to have fun along the way, I give it my all and always show up as the best person I can be.  As Mary Poppins once said, “in every job that must be done there is an element of fun.”  

If given the opportunity to work together, I hope to create lifelong vacation memories for you and your family and friends.  In the words of Walt Disney himself, “Laughter is timeless, imagination has no age, and dreams are forever.”
