Passion: [noun] strong and barely controllable emotion. Passion is what I have for Disney.

I’m from Brazil, IN and first visit to Walt Disney World was with a school group in the 80’s. My passion for Disney developed on my honeymoon trip in 1992 though. My soon to be husband and I purchased Birnbaum’s Official Walt Disney World Guide. We devoured this book, front to cover, more than once. We jotted every tip and hint from this book, then assembled our “Disney To Do” list in a spiral notebook. This is when my enthusiasm for Disney planning began. Over the next 5 years, life became busy, we had two beautiful babies within 2 years. Then came time for our first “Mills Party of 4” Walt Disney World vacation. That first family trip was Walt Disney World’s 25th anniversary, remember the castle as a pink cake?

Once I saw Disney through my children’s eyes, I became obsessed with Disney. I remember on the long drive home when the kids were young. Joe and I would keep each other awake by starting the plans for our next Disney trip. Fortunately, over the last 25 years, we continue to visit Disney often. During these years, I have traveled to Disney as a mother of toddlers, then teenagers and now as “Empty Nesters”. Sometimes, we are even lucky enough to be joined by our adult children for a trip. I have been through it all from renting strollers, locating the baby care centers at every park; keeping up with teenagers while staying at Magic Kingdom from rope drop to close, that day they were opened 24 hours straight. Now my husband and I visit most of the festivals at EPCOT, enjoy a leisurely day at the parks, love staying at different resorts, eating at various restaurants and relaxing on Disney Cruise Line!

One thing that still amazes me, even after all these years and trips, are the details Disney puts into literally everything! Disney details can be found even in what most would consider something minimal. As Walt Disney himself said “There is no magic in magic, it’s all in the details.” For anyone who enjoys little nuggets of history and enthralling details, Disney is for you!!

Disney memories are woven in my family’s tapestry and cherished. One incredibly special memory is when my daughter gifted her grandmother a trip to Walt Disney World. At the time, my mother was in her 70’s. To see my mom’s face when she saw Cinderella’s castle and hugging Mickey Mouse, will always be precious moments for me. Let me use my passion for Disney to make memories of a lifetime for your family.
