Karen Sikora – Pennsylvania Disney Travel Planner

Hi!  My name is Karen Sikora!

I have a deep love for the most magical place on earth. I have been going to Walt Disney World since the year it opened. I’m sure my parents had no idea they were changing my life when they loaded us in that station wagon for the trip from Pennsylvania. And, since becoming an adult, my visits to Disney number somewhere over 40 so far! Simply put, it’s my happy place. I love the sights, the sounds, the smells…. I don’t think a day goes by that I don’t think about a past trip, or my next trip!

Some of my favorite memories of my trips include fishing in the World Showcase lagoon before the park is open and watching the cast members go back and forth in the peaceful quiet. I’ve raced around the Seven Seas Lagoon on a mini boat (a “mouse) for a sunny afternoon. I’ve had the perfect seats for fireworks and an all-you-can-eat dessert buffet (including Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake) at the Magic Kingdom. I’ve relaxed in a hammock at Serenity Bay and snorkeled down to find a sunken treasure. The first day I walked into Disneyland CA, I literally bumped into Mickey. I love the Rock-n-Rollercoaster, Space Mountain, the Rise of the Resistance, the Incredicoaster, the Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout. I’ve laughed ‘til it hurt with my family at Hoop Dee Do Revue.  I’ve spent time in the parks by myself, sipping a Happy Haunts shake, watching the excitement and joy on guests faces and I’ve stood in the square at the end of Main Street USA and stared at Cinderella’s Castle and thought about how it all started with a mouse.

This is my passion. It’s well known to my family and friends that I love all things Mouse. “Oh, are you going to Disney? You have to talk to Karen!” Well before I became a Disney Travel Planner, I was asked for advice regarding places to eat, rides to ride, which parks to visit and what not to miss. Inside info about transportation, handicapped access, what resort hotel is the best and even what to be sure to pack. As an adult, I’ve planned trips for myself and for family that were slow-paced and relaxing and also some mad dashes through multiple parks on a getaway weekend, not to mention Disney Cruises, and a trip to Disneyland Paris. Trips for families as well as trips for adults only.  I love the planning stages and putting all the pieces together. And I love the excitement (mine and others’) when the countdown reaches the single digits!

There are so many things to see and do, there is truly something for everyone! I look forward to hearing each client’s ideas and wishes for the perfect vacation, and then stitching that together to create an experience with memories that will last a lifetime!
