Name: Liz Taylor

Where are you from?  Southeastern Massachusetts

First memory of Disney?  My first memory of Disney is meeting Eeyore as a little girl when I was 4.  He was my favorite character I couldn’t wait to meet him. He looked so sad I didn’t want to leave him, and just kept hugging him.

What makes Disney MAGICAL in your eyes? Disney is magical to me because of the lasting memories it creates.  No matter what age you are, there is something for everyone creating a whole new experience as the years go on.

Favorite Disney destination and why?  My favorite Disney destination is Walt Disney World Resort.  It holds so many special memories for me and my family! As a former cast member of Magic Kingdom it became a home away from home for me too.

Favorite Disney Character and why?  This is a tough one, I love so many characters for different reasons it is hard to choose just one.  First Mickey because without Mickey there wouldn’t be any of it, Eeyore is my favorite starting from when I was a little kid, Belle is my favorite princess, and Olaf is now a new favorite, because who wouldn’t want Olaf as their snowman? J

Favorite Disney Attraction and why?  Wishes!! No matter how many times I watch it (it has been hundreds) it never gets old, it encompasses all the magic of Disney at the end of a night, and holds so many memories!!

Favorite Disney Resort and why?  I can’t pick only one…Art of Animation- the theming is amazing, the family suites are great, and it is my son’s favorite! Grand Floridian- It is timeless and iconic

Favorite Disney Restaurant and why?  Chef Mickey’s- it has become tradition to make it our first dinner on every trip, it holds many memories, the characters and the food!

Favorite Disney Quick Service Restaurant and why?  Be Our Guest! I could sit in the ballroom for hours, it puts you in the middle of the movie. (and the food is great too!)

3 Disney characters you’d like to have dinner with and why?  Eeyore-because he’d be thankful he was thought of, Olaf-because he makes everyone happy, & Flynn Ryder-why not? J

Favorite Disney snack and why? Chocolate frosted brownie with mickey sprinkles- its delicious, and Mickey shaped sprinkles make everything taste better. 🙂

Favorite Disney Movie and why?  Beauty and the Beast – It’s been my favorite since it was originally released…Tangled is a close second!

3 Favorite Disney Songs and why?  Wishes Soundtrack, “When You Wish Upon a Star”, and “There’s a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow” from Carousel of Progress.

Disney character you’re most similar to and why? Belle- Grew up in a small town and life turned into an adventure, I love books, I am close to family, and even found my own beast J

If you could be one Disney mascot for a day who would it be and why? Rapunzel- I could be a princess and still wear flats, or Olaf!

If you could work at one of the Disney theme parks, what job would you want and why? Magic Kingdom and in the position of Disney Guest Relations- or what some refer to as “a plaid”, Whether as a VIP guide around the park, creating a magical experience for a guest, or to have the ability to turn someone’s bad experience around into a magical one.

Best part about being a MickeyTravels Disney Travel Agent? I am part of an amazing family “Making Magic One Vacation at a Time…”. I couldn’t be happier to be part of such a great group.  I can be part of the Disney magic helping families plan their perfect vacations filled with memories!

Why should I book my vacation with you?   Whether it is your first trip or 50th, no matter the Disney Destination-Walt Disney World, Aulani, Disneyland, a Disney Cruise, Adventures by Disney…I put as much care and dedication into planning each trip as if it were my own!  I want to do everything I can so you to have the most magical trip possible, and memories that will last a lifetime!

Disney World Arrival Day

September 7, 2012

Looking for something to do on your Disney World Arrival Day?

Disney Resorts

You’ve finally arrived at the Walt Disney World Resort after a day (or more) of traveling.  Everyone in the family is excited and ready to let the memories begin!  But after all you’ve done the last couple of days to get here do you really think hitting the parks right away and late in the day is a good idea?  Here’s a few things to do on your Disney World Arrival Day that will get your magical vacation off to a great start while allowing everyone to unwind and get to bed early for your first big day at the parks:

  • Discover your resort.  There are swimming pools, game rooms, restaurants and more at each of the Disney resort hotels. You’ll also find activities for the family to enjoy such as outdoor movies, renting bicycles, carriage rides and more!
  • Take a trip over to Downtown Disney.  Enjoy some shopping, grab a bite to eat, get tickets ahead of time for Cirque du Soleil’s La Nouba.

Disney Polynesian Resort

  • Head over to Disney’s Wilderness Lodge for a Campfire Sing-A-Long with Chip and Dale.
  • Take a ride on the monorail and discover other resorts.  Hop on another monorail line and cruise on over through Epcot.  End the evening on the beach of  Disney’s Polynesian Resort and enjoy Wishes over the Magic Kingdom.
  • What about a stroll along the boardwalk – Disney’s Boardwalk Inn that is.  You’ll find dining, drinks and entertainment for the entire family.
  • Visit Beaches and Cream at Disney’s Beach Club Resort.  Let the group share a “Kitchen Sink”.

  • Finally – Turn in early!  If you get to bed early you’ll be able to rise early and hit the parks for rope drop.  First ones through the gates experience less wait times for rides and attractions and during warmer months they’ll enjoy cooler temperatures.

Ask your Authorized Disney Vacation Planner at MickeyTravels for details on these activities and more.  They’ll help you with a plan that will create a magical vacation for everyone in your family!

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge

August 30, 2012

Have you ever dreamed of going on an African Safari and seeing all the amazing animals roaming around right in front of you?  If so, then Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is the place for you!

Africa at DisneySouth African wildlife

The Animal Kingdom Lodge is one of Walt Disney World’s Deluxe resorts.  The South African wildlife theme of the resort is breathtaking, from the large mud fireplace to the thatched ceilings, real African artifacts and the African music playing softly in the background.  And let’s not forget about the animals roaming the grounds- zebras, giraffes, ostrich, flamingos, greater kudu, impalas, white-bearded wildebeest, Thomson’s gazelle and more!  There are over 200 animals and 30 different species of wildlife that roam four tropical savannas.

You will have an opportunity to see the exotic animals from special alcoves throughout the resort as well as from balconies of the Savanna View rooms!  That’s right… you can wake up in the morning, open your balcony door, and have a cup of coffee while watching giraffes or zebras wandering around right outside your room!  There are Safari Guides at the outside viewing areas to answer questions and share information about the animals.  A special activity offered at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is night vision goggles to watch the animals roaming the savannas when it is dark out.  The animals truly are amazing and make a stay at this resort a once in a lifetime experience.
