We’re proud to have the best Disney Travel agents in the world as part of our MickeyTravels team and this will allow you to get to know them even better. Today the spotlight shines on Andrea Garton from North Carolina!

Name: Andrea Garton

Where are you from?  I was born and raised in Buffalo, NY but I currently reside with my husband in Winston-Salem, NC.

First memory of Disney?  Toon Town! I took my first trip at the age of 2 years old and I loved those little houses – especially how Minnie’s house had a cake baking in the oven!

What makes Disney MAGICAL in your eyes? The Magic of Disney is in all of the details. So much care and attention is given to how everything is built and created to work in unison. From the phenomenal Cast Members, to the immersive attractions and beyond, the seamlessness of it all removes you from reality and transports you into fantasy.

Favorite Disney destination and why? Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort. There is nothing like the feeling of walking down Main Street, towards the beautiful castle. It makes me feel like a little kid all over again and I cannot wait to share the experience with my own kids someday.

Magic Kingdom

Favorite Disney Character and why?  I have always loved Tinkerbell! She’s sweet and loyal but can be sassy when she wants to be!

Favorite Disney Attraction and why?  Space Mountain. I love being in the dark. Not knowing/seeing when the next turn or drop is going to come is all the more exhilarating!

Favorite Disney Resort and why? Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. The coziness of the interior and the relaxed, natural surroundings of the exterior make me instantly unwind after a fun-filled day.

Wilderness Lodge

Favorite Disney Restaurant and why?  Citricos at the Grand Floridian Resort. They have a phenomenal wine list, delicious desserts and I literally dream about their red-wine braised short ribs!

Favorite Disney Quick Service Restaurant and why?  Everything Pop! Shopping and Dining at Pop Century Resort will always have a place in my heart! I worked there during my first Disney College Program and have to say that I still thoroughly enjoy all the options they have available!

3 Disney characters you’d like to have dinner with and why? Mushu, Vanellope von Schweetz, and Olaf! All of these characters make me laugh in their respective movies and I have to imagine they’d be pretty hilarious to chat with!

Favorite Disney snack and why? Mickey Ice Cream Bars! No day at the park is complete without this delicious cool down treat! It’s best enjoyed while waiting for the parade to start!

Mickey Ice Cream Bar Disney World

Favorite Disney Movie and why?  This is such a HARD question! With so many amazing movies over the decades I think I have a favorite one from each! I guess my all-time favorite will forever be Cinderella. It’s the movie that introduced me to Disney and got me hooked!

3 Favorite Disney Songs and why?  Go the Distance from Hercules, Part of Your World from The Little Mermaid, and Make a Man Out of You from Mulan. They’re all just so much fun to sing along with!

Disney character you’re most similar to and why? Anna from Frozen. She’s loyal, adventurous, kind, and undeniably true to herself.

Anna from Frozen

If you could be one Disney character for a day who would it be and why? I’d love to be Ariel for a day so I could breathe underwater, explore the ocean and of course, hang out with Sebastian and Flounder!

If you could work at one of the Disney theme parks, what job would you want and why? I would love to “be friends with” a character. Having a chance to bring to life a beloved character and put smiles on the faces of young and old alike would be an incredible way to spend each day!

Best part about being a MickeyTravels Disney Travel Agent? The best part about being a MickeyTravels agent is getting to share my love of Disney with others. Helping families make unforgettable memories is so rewarding. I also get to learn so many fun and interesting new things every day about the places that I truly cherish.

Why should I book my vacation with you? Not only have I been a Walt Disney World Cast Member, but I’m also an event planner by trade. My love for detailed execution and planning, combined with my love of Disney will insure that your Disney vacation is *Magical* from start to finish!

MickeyTravels Agent Virtual Meet & Greet with Kristin Kelly

November 6, 2017

MickeyTravels is excited to bring back The MickeyTravels Agent Virtual Meet & Greet! We feature a different MickeyTravels agent on a regular basis. We’re proud to have the best Disney Travel agents in the world as part of our MickeyTravels team and this will allow you to get to know them even better. Today the spotlight shines on Kristin Kelly from Georgia!

Name: Kristin Kelly

Where are you from? Originally Fort Lauderdale, FL

First memory of Disney? Way back…. when it was only the Magic Kingdom, Polynesian, and Contemporary. My sister and I would skip around on the blue and green checkerboard le floor in the lobby of the Polynesian while our parents were checking in. Silly I know, but it’s my 1st memory.

What makes Disney MAGICAL in your eyes? It’s amazing to me how the second you arrive all your cares and troubles go away.

Favorite Disney destination and why? WDW has my heart. It is where most of my Disney memories are. Favorite Disney Character and why? Pluto. Not sure why, but he has been my favorite for as long as I can remember.

Favorite Disney Attraction and why? The monorail. May be an unusual choice, but to me the monorail is a Disney classic. And yes, I consider it a ride!

Disney World Monorail

Favorite Disney Resort and why? Polynesian. Did I mention that blue and green tile floor in the lobby? LOL

Favorite Disney Restaurant and why? ‘Ohana! If you haven’t noticed I have a “thing” for the Polynesian.

Favorite Disney Quick Service Restaurant and why? Be Our Guest breakfast or lunch. It’s a quick service yet it feels like a table service. You get the best of both worlds.

Be Our Guest Disney World

3 Disney characters you’d like to have dinner with and why? 1. Jack Sparrow, he is my Disney crush. 2. Bert from Mary Poppins, I imagine he could draw an amazing place for us to go on the sidewalk. Then, we could hold hands and jump in. 3. The Genie, because he would keep me laughing the whole me and maybe I’d even get 3 wishes.

Favorite Disney snack and why? The beignets at Port Orleans French Quarter- They are little pillows of yumminess. They are perfect morning, noon, and night.

Favorite Disney Movie and why? Pete’s Dragon. Just a childhood favorite.

Pete's Dragon

3 Favorite Disney Songs and why? Mother knows best” , Tangled. I love singing this to my daughter when we disagree. It is also the ringtone I have set for my Mother on my phone. “Les Poison”, The Little Mermaid not only because I love the movie, but because when singing it with a phony French accent you can’t help but smile . And “Boo to You” from the parade at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. If you sing it once you’ll never get it out of your head. I am guilty of singing it all year long.

Disney character you’re most similar to and why? This is an easy one. Mary Poppins, because I used to be a nanny.

If you could be one Disney character for a day who would it be and why? Cinderella, she is the ultimate Disney Princess.

Cinderella Princess

If you could work at one of the Disney theme parks, what job would you want and why? Magic Kingdom. I’d love to be a Fairy Godmother and make little girls Princesses all day long.

Best part about being a MickeyTravels Disney Travel Agent? It really is a dream come true for me to be able to plan vacations to the “Happiest Place on Earth” which also happen to be my FAVORITE place on earth.

Why should I book my vacation with you? I plan every Disney vacation as though it was for my own family. And be it your 1st visit or 20th visit I will make sure your trip is filled with magical memories and lots of pixie dust.
