Disney World Character Dining

March 2, 2012

One of the most exciting aspects of a Disney World vacation—especially for little ones — is meeting the Disney characters in person!  There is just something about giving Mickey a high five or getting a hug from Cinderella to make kids of all ages smile from ear to ear!  There’s not much better than Disney World Character Dining!

You can find characters throughout the parks and in the parades, but if you want up close personal time without waiting in the many individual lines, Disney World character dining a great way to meet some of the beloved friends!

Meet Mickey and Cinderella at Disney

Character meals occur at several restaurants in all four theme parks and in some of the hotels.  Generally, you are seated at your table and you eat at your own pace.  During the course of the meal, the characters featured at that particular meal will rotate around the tables, greeting each table and posing for pictures, signing autographs and interacting with guests.  Be sure to bring along a camera and an autograph book.

The Benefits of Staying on Walt Disney World property

March 1, 2012

Many people believe that staying off-property in Orlando will save them money.   They may think that it is too expensive to stay right on Walt Disney World property.  I hear people tell me that they would love to stay at one of the Disney-owned resorts, but believe they won’t be able to afford it.  I say – no way!  Staying on Disney property while on vacation at Walt Disney World has so many benefits and adds MAGIC to an already magical vacation.  That said, there are many benefits of staying on Walt Disney World property!

Disney Dining Plan

One of the first benefits of staying on Walt Disney World property that cannot be ignored is the ability to purchase the Disney Dining Plan.  This will save you 30% on all meals and snacks versus out-of-pocket spending on every meal and snack you purchase.  I don’t need to remind you how expensive the food can be at Walt Disney World and to be able to save 30% sounds like a good deal to me.  In addition, I want to pay for all of my meals and snacks before I even leave for my Disney vacation so that I am not stunned by the credit card bill I would normally receive after I return home from my vacation.  It is easy to use and I love that Disney created this for its guests.

Disney for Adults: Planning Part 1. When is the best time to go to Disney?

February 29, 2012

So you’ve decided that Walt Disney World is the perfect place for your vacation.  Now comes the fun part!  Planning!  (Well, to me it’s fun, which is probably why I love my job so much.)  The first decision you need to make is when to travel.  Here are a few things to consider when planning your trip.  When is the best time to go to Disney?

Crowd levels:

Traveling without kids usually means that you have a little more flexibility with travel dates, since you don’t have to work around a school schedule.  This is great news for an adults-only getaway because it allows you to travel to Walt Disney World during less crowded times of the year.  The least crowded times of the year are January through mid-February, late August through most of October, and a few weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas.  However, crowd levels can vary from week-to-week, so make sure to contact me for more detailed information regarding the best time to go to Disney.
