Remember Dreams Come True at Disney

February 18, 2013

July 17, 2005 marked the 50th anniversary of Disneyland.  Celebrations were held honoring the creator and magic that started it all- Walt Disney.  Sleeping Beauty Castle was decorated into lovely gold crowns with the 50th anniversary sign while Space Mountain made its re-launch just a couple of days before the big day.  But what took the 50th anniversary by the Disney magic was a new firework show- Remember Dreams Come True.

Remember Dreams Come True

Remember Dreams Come True celebrates the history of Disney and Disneyland from the classic films of Peter Pan, Aladdin, Cinderella, and the best part- Disney rides!  ”Is this room actually stretching, or is it just your imagination?”  ”Can I possibly survive?”  You hear the familiar sounds of the Haunted Mansion, Space Mountain, Indiana Jones Adventure, among other famous rides that take our hearts away and that we remember as lifetime experiences that you can only experience at Disneyland!

Special effects such as fire and Tinker Bell flying from the Matterhorn add extra awe amazement to our eyes believing that magic does exist!  Let’s not forget Star Wars!  The iconic film which has been inspired to turn into Star Tours sends green lasers shooting out from around the park as guests hear the audio of the climax scene of starship speeders fighting the evil forces from the Death Star.  ”I have you now!”  Julie Andrews takes us through the narrative as we live Disneyland history.  There are so many great memories in Remember Dreams Come True!

Disneyland 50th Annivesary film

2005 may now sound like it happened quite a long while ago but the Remember Dreams Come True show continues to appeal to audiences with the astounding fireworks in sync with the soundtrack.  The show may not be as recent like Magical but it sure is a classic that all can fall for!  With a great fireworks show, you leave the evening with the Disney magic ending your magical day…and inspiring to keep wishing on those stars for your dreams to come true!  Now that’s what you call the Happiest Place on Earth!

Disneyland’s Alice in Wonderland Ride

February 14, 2013

Dark rides never fail to impress us with their magic of taking us through imaginative worlds without the need for light.  Within dark rides, colors are more vivid and brighter drawing us into memorable experiences within indoor spaces rather than the traditional outside roller coasters.  Disneyland’s Alice in Wonderland ride takes guests through Alice’s journey of following the White Rabbit down the hole where she ends up in a magical world.

Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum

Your journey in Disney’s Alice in Wonderland ride begins with Alice narrating her experience.  You have fallen into the rabbit hole and in front of you a talking door opens letting you into Wonderland where you see Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum.  You then enter a vast garden of beautiful flowers and roses singing to your muse.  You make your way meeting characters from the film but as you keep going in Wonderland, everything becomes more and more curious!

Disneyland Queen of Hearts

It seems like no matter where you go you can always find the Cheshire Cat who wants to involve you in his mischievous plans.  We all remember that things didn’t end too well when that cat appeared in the court with the Queen of Hearts.  Now we don’t want any of ”Off with your heads!” mess here but in this ride, the Queen of Hearts sure doesn’t forget about you!  Guests soon find themselves with the Cards and the Queen herself as they try to escape them.  Guests are then taken through another special door where the Mad Hatter has invited them to an un-birthday celebration!  Watch out when you make that wish!  And that’s how you celebrate in Disney’s Alice in Wonderland ride!
