Name: Natalie Connell

Where are you from?  Thomasville, GA

First memory of Disney?  Although my first trip to Disney was for the Grand Opening of the Magic Kingdom, I was a little young for those memories. One of my first memories is a few years later sitting on the curb along Main Street in the Magic Kingdom and watching in awe the Electrical Light Parade. My father loved the parade so much that he bought the soundtrack (an album!) to the Electrical Light Parade so we could enjoy the music at home.

What makes Disney MAGICAL in your eyes? There are so many things I love at about Disney! First, no one does customer service like Disney.  From exceptional Cast Members, beautiful costuming, magical shows and entertainment, and creative theming and design, Disney holds the bar high for how service should be delivered. Second, there is something truly magical watching fairytales and stories come alive through the eyes of your child.

Favorite Disney destination and why?  Walt Disney World is definitely my favorite Disney destination! I love all the rides, shows and recreational opportunities that are offered throughout the parks and resorts.

Favorite Disney Character and why?  Pluto! Pluto has been my favorite for as long as I can remember. I’m a dog lover and I can’t help but love this silly pup!

Favorite Disney Attraction and why?  Space Mountain! This is the first roller coaster I can remember riding and the fact that you are riding in the dark makes it extra fun!

Favorite Disney Resort and why? I love the beauty and majestic appearance of the Grand Floridian. My family and I love going there even if we are staying elsewhere and we especially love the beautiful tree and the Gingerbread House during the Christmas season.

Favorite Disney Restaurant and why?  My favorite restaurant is Chef Mickey! I love getting to interact with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy and Pluto!

Chef Mickeys Restaurant

Favorite Disney Quick Service Restaurant and why?  My family enjoys Harbor House in the Magic Kingdom. I like the variety of food, quieter location and when my child walked up to the counter with her Happy Birthday button on all the Cast Members sang to her!

3 Disney characters you’d like to have dinner with and why? I would love to have dinner with Pluto, of course, and Mickey and Cinderella. These are three of my childhood favorites

Favorite Disney snack and why? I love the huge cinnamon rolls at Gaston’s Tavern.

Favorite Disney Movie and why?  Ariel is my favorite Disney movie because I have my own little red-headed princess!

3 Favorite Disney Songs and why?  Beauty and the Beast: Tale as Old as Time, Lion King: Circle of Life, Frozen: Let it Go

Disney character you’re most similar to and why? Like Cinderella, I eagerly awaited for my Prince Charming!

The new home for visiting royalty in the Magic Kingdom, Princess Fairytale Hall features walls of stone and stained glass windows, a spacious gallery adorned with portraits of Disney princesses and elegantly finished rooms where guests can meet Cinderella, Rapunzel and other princesses. Part of the largest Magic Kingdom expansion in history, Princess Fairytale Hall is located in the Castle Courtyard in the center of Fantasyland at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. If you could be one Disney mascot for a day who would it be and why? I think it would be exciting to be Cinderella for a day. I love seeing how little ones light up when they see there favorite princess.

If you could work at one of the Disney theme parks, what job would you want and why? I would love to be one of the Cast Members that accompany Mickey Mouse so that I see the joy on everyone’s faces as they interact with this special character.

MickeyTravels Agent Virtual Meet & Greet with Laura Bourget

October 2, 2016

MickeyTravels is excited to bring back The MickeyTravels Agent Virtual Meet & Greet! We will feature a different MickeyTravels agent on a regular basis. We’re proud to have the best Disney Travel agents in the world as part of our MickeyTravels team and this will allow you to get to know them even better. Today the spotlight shines on Laura Bourget from Massachusetts!

Name: Laura Bourget

Where are you from?  Born and raised in Massachusetts

First memory of Disney?  My first memory of Disney is a Character Breakfast onboard The Empress Lilly in 1986 at what is now known as Disney Springs. The re-creation of an 19th century paddle-wheeler was named after Walt Disney’s wife Lillian and later became known as Fulton’s Crab House followed by Paddlefish.

What makes Disney MAGICAL in your eyes? The fact that no two Disney vacations are the same is absolute magic in my eyes. Every trip is unique and offers exciting new experiences depending upon the time of year. It doesn’t matter if you’ve visited Disney 1 or 100 times, each trip provides the opportunity to fall in love with Disney all over again.

Favorite Disney destination and why? My favorite Disney destination is Walt Disney World. The idea that multi-generational families can come together and all become kids again in the most magical place on Earth is incredible to me. Creating memories with our children and eventually our grandchildren is what keeps us coming back year after year.

Favorite Disney Character and why?  My favorite Disney character is Minnie Mouse because she’s fun, charismatic and stole Mickey’s heart!

Favorite Disney Attraction and why?  My favorite Disney attraction is Big Thunder Mountain at night. I’ll never forget the look of fear followed by pure delight on my son’s face the first time he rode it. The attraction is a must-do on every visit to Magic Kingdom and riding it at night makes it even more exciting!

Favorite Disney Resort and why? There are so many wonderful resorts on Disney property but Boardwalk Inn could possibly be my favorite. The proximity to Epcot and Hollywood Studios is fantastic and there are so many great restaurant and entertainment options close by that don’t require theme park admission.

Favorite Disney Restaurant and why?  One of my favorite Disney restaurants is ‘Ohana at Polynesian Village Resort. I love how the delicious Hawaiian food is served family style and there is fun entertainment throughout dinner. If you time it right you can even enjoy dinner with a view of Wishes fireworks or grab a spot on the beach to take in the nighttime spectacular across the lake.

Favorite Disney Quick Service Restaurant and why?  Yak and Yeti at Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park is my favorite quick service restaurant. The menu consists of Asian fare such as teriyaki beef bowls, roasted vegetable wraps, egg rolls, fried rice and more. The selection is a nice change of pace from the chicken fingers, hamburgers and hot dogs you’d typically find at a quick service restaurant.

3 Disney characters you’d like to have dinner with and why? I would love to have a double date with Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and Goofy at Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom. That sounds incredibly fun and I’d be honored to have such a tall, dark and handsome dinner date!

mickey-minnie-goofy

Favorite Disney snack and why?  My favorite Disney snack is the Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar. It’s a Mickey-shaped vanilla ice cream bar wrapped in a yummy chocolate shell on a popsicle stick. A classic Disney treat that I look forward to every trip!

Favorite Disney Movie and why?  The original Toy Story is my ultimate favorite Disney movie. I’ve watched it countless times with my three boys when they were younger that the characters feel like family to us. I still get giddy when I see Buzz, Woody and Jessie at Walt Disney World.

3 Favorite Disney Songs and why?  “Hakuna Matata” from Lion King, “You Can Fly” from Peter Pan and “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” from Toy Story are my 3 favorite Disney songs.  I love the idea of no worries for the rest of your days, thinking happy thoughts and knowing when the road looks rough ahead…you’ve got a friend in me. “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” is actually the ring tone on my cell phone!

Disney character you’re most similar to and why? I think I can relate most to Princess Anna from Frozen because she’s free spirited, kind and optimistic.

princess-anna-frozen

If you could be one Disney mascot for a day who would it be and why? I’m going to say Princess Anna because I could be goofy and a beautiful princess all at the same time. It’s the best of both worlds!

If you could work at one of the Disney theme parks, what job would you want and why? I would love to be a VIP Tour Guide and work at all of the parks! MickeyTravels is committed to “Making Magic…One Vacation at a Time.” As a VIP Tour Guide I would still be able to help bring a little magic to my client’s Walt Disney World Vacations while sharing first-hand knowledge of the parks.

Best part about being a MickeyTravels Disney Travel Agent? I’m honored to be a part of the MickeyTravels team because we really are a family of Travel Agents who share a love of Disney and are always willing to help each other out.

Why should I book my vacation with you?  I would love the opportunity to work with you to help plan the most magical Disney vacation possible. Not only does working with a Disney Travel Agent relive some of the stress involved with planning a Disney vacation, it also saves you valuable time and resources. In the spirit of my 3 favorite Disney songs, you should book your next vacation with me because it’s a problem free philosophy that invokes happy thoughts and remember…you’ve got a friend in me. Hakuna Matata!
