Parasailing at Disney World

Fly away above the boat and see the beauty of Walt Disney World from the distance!  Just being far enough from this dreamland makes your heart increase in size with all the Disney excitement!  And nope, it’s not being a bird or a fly.  If you were thinking of Soarin’, you were pretty close.  Parasailing!  That’s right, parasailing at Disney World!

Parasailing at Disney World is available for guests who want to experience the magic from a different angle rather than on-premise.  This magic/water activity is held in front of Disney’s Contemporary Resort- Bay Lake as part of Sammy Duvall’s Watersports Centre.  The parasailing adventure comes in an array of different designs such as a smiley face, Mickey Mouse, and a pattern of different colors.

Depending how you organize your trip, the parasail is divided into the 450 ft. and 600 ft. which you can choose from.  The higher you go, the more views you will see.  But even at 450 ft., you should be able to get a pretty good view of the huge resort and take in those breathtaking moments of ”flying”.  Your sailing journey begins when you are released from the boat with the ”parachute” pulling you into full swing.  The engine of the boat pulls the parachute and for a good about 10 minutes you are up there seeing the different Disney hotels, Space Mountain, and Cinderella Castle!  Now this is what you call soarin’!

Look into the sparkling waters of Bay Lake appreciating the views of nature and feeling that summer Florida breeze that cool off your bare feet!  It’s like another way of submersing your feet into the sand only way less hotter!  Once your journey ends, you are safely pulled back into the boat taking with you those special non-Disney park moments but yet having that same Disney magic that never leaves you.
