Today the spotlight shines on Becky Vaughn-Cox from Belleveue, Nebraska!

Name: Becky Vaughn-Cox

Where are you from?  Bellevue, Nebraska

First memory of Disney?  When I was 7, I went to WDW for the first time.  The best memory from this trip was riding in the pink Dumbo elephant with my dad.  It was the only trip he would be able to make with us.

What makes Disney MAGICAL in your eyes? The way it makes you feel alive and innocent.  Whether through the movies or parks, Disney has a way of making people forget their troubles and enjoy their family and friends.

Favorite Disney destination and why? Walt Disney World, because it was the first resort I visited and holds the most memories for me.

Favorite Disney Character and why?  Dumbo.  I have always loved elephants and he just so darn cute!

Favorite Disney Attraction and why?  Kilimanjaro Safaris.  I spent a short time working at WDW on the college program they offer, and this was my job.  I got to drive the safari truck, learn about amazing animals and conservation issues, and really interact with guests.  Favorite job and best attraction!

Favorite Disney Resort and why? The Polynesian resort is my favorite.  I love the theming, the close proximity to the parks, and the amazing restaurants.

Favorite Disney Restaurant and why?  Kona Café – Love their Tonga Toast for breakfast, and Sushi for dinner.

Favorite Disney Quick Service Restaurant and why?  Be Our Guest (Lunch) because of the yummy food and awesome décor!

3 Disney characters you’d like to have dinner with and why? Marry Poppins because she would make sure everything was “Practically Perfect,” Goofy because he would keep everyone entertained, and of course Mickey! (Do I need a reason why for the Big Guy?

Favorite Disney snack and why? I always have to have a Premium Mickey Ears ice cream bar.  It’s tradition.

Favorite Disney Movie and why?  I love Beauty and the Beast because I have always felt a little like Belle.  I love to read and I care about everyone.  Plus I’m also a Librarian in my “spare time.”

3 Favorite Disney Songs and why?  Circle of Life, Beauty and the Beast, and When you Wish Upon a Star.  No reason why, just 3 of my favorites!

Disney character you’re most similar to and why?  Belle, because I feel like a version of her!  Books are my life.

If you could be one Disney mascot for a day who would it be and why? Mickey – he’s the best!

If you could work at one of the Disney theme parks, what job would you want and why? Besides the job I have already had (Kilimanjaro Safaris) I would love to either be an animal keeper, or make magic at Guest services.

Best part about being a MickeyTravels Disney Travel Agent? I get to share my knowledge and love of Disney with so many people AND from the comfort of my own home.  There is no feeling better than to have clients tell me they “couldn’t have done it without me!”

Why should I book my vacation with you?  My passion and love for all things Disney shows in the work I do for my clients.  I love being able to guide families through the planning process, help them while they are at the resorts via phone/email, and really become part of their family.  I have made so many lifelong friends out of clients that it makes me realize I’m doing what I need to be doing.
